Most people know French Lick Indiana as the home of Larry Bird. You know, "the hick from French Lick. " If you are looking for a cosmopolitan atmosphere, French Lick is not the place to visit but if you are looking for amazing golf courses including the recent 2015 Indiana course of the year, you are in good luck. Detroiters going to either the Western Michigan golf show or the Detroit show at the Novi Expo are familiar with the courses of the French Lick Resort through advertising and I have yet to hear of anyone who has played Sultan's Run, the Pete Dye Course or the Donald Ross course complain. Raving is more like it.The West Baden Hotel is an incredible hotel from the inside and the neighboring casino will keep you entertained when you are not golfing or milling around the town.
