Crowded leaderboards give many players hope going into the final day of the Randy Wise Junior Open in Linden, Mi.
With 33 boys within seven shots of the lead at Spring Meadows Country Club, Will Anderson's bogey-free round through nine holes gave him a four way tie of the lead after 36 holes. The rains on Tuesday gave way to cool temperatures and high winds that saw scores surge after day one play. Alex Mulrooney of Wilmington, Delaware is a 15-year-old tied for the lead and his three top 20 finishes on Tour including a 13th at the 2018 Junior All-Star at Irish Creek give him a share of the lead with two Michiganders. Noah Kolar of Grand Rapids fired five second round birdies and rounding out the top spot is Nick Krueger of Spring Lake, Michigan. Krueger is a verbal committment to Grand Valley State University.
The girls division leader Michaela Morard is a four-time AJGA champion (video below) on the circuit and this University of Alabama verbal commit is the leader after each of the first two rounds. Morard has had 16 top-ten finishes in five years and is a three-time Rolex Junior All-American.
